Located in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire and willing to travel anywhere in the British Isles.

CV Summary:

  • Chair of the Airdrie Astronomical Association Interested in Astronomy since I was a schoolboy in the 1960s but pursued a career in Microbiology.

  • HR Diagram
  • The Search for Life (from someone who has done it)
  • What Colour is the Sun?
  • How Cool are Sunspots?
  • Infra red and the James Webb Space Telescope (not technical - for non technical adults and older children)

I do my best to provide an entertaining and educational talk but I try very hard to avoid maths

I also provide talks by 'Zoom'

My Target Audience:

  • Astro societies
  • Other clubs with an interest in astronomy

Areas I am willing to travel to:

  • Anywhere in the British Isles

Facilities Required:

  • I will provide a laptop and flash drive.
  • I will require a TV screen, preferably with HDMI connection, or a projector and screen.

  • Expenses plus £10 to charity
